Anyways, I have had quite a busy week! This week I went to wal mart and had a limited budget so I had to stray my child away from the beloved clothes section. My son loves clothes. Clothes and shoes. Everywhere we go he has to look through his size. He describes in great detail the clothes he loves. Shirts with buttons that hold down ties with short sleeves that button all of the way down. Pants with hidden buttons and plastic buttons and metal buttons and slider clasps. He really is unique.
Through all of his asking, we managed to walk out with MOSTLY only needed items. A couple of food treats but that's it on splurging. On the way out to the car, my son was begging to visit goodwill. We had a $2 budget for goodwill, and that's it! I knew I couldn't spend more than that. We hopped in the car, and I was exhasperated because my son was talking about all he wanted and I insisted he could afford two sale priced items at that was IT! He told me he was going to get more, and I let home know that he would get two sale priced items or nothing.
I put my car into reverse and tried to shift it into drive, but it was not to be accomplished. My shifter was loose! I couldn't do anything but turn the key off. I immediately ran through my mind on what could be wrong with the car and my mind's calculator was imagining hundreds being swept away when we don't even have that much in a budget. Would I be car-less all summer? I called my MIL and FIL (mother in law and father in law) and they came to meet us at Wal-mart. My FIL immediately adjusted something under the hood and the car started up and he shifted the gear. Unfortunately, it was a temporary fix but we knew it had something to do with the shifter cable which was the best out of all possible options. Praise GOD!
A few days later, I still do not have a working vehicle. It may be for the best though because I cannot afford gas right now. A blessing in disguise to give us an opportunity to save a buck? I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Apparently I will have a working vehicle soon, but who knows how long. LOL.
On another note, I opened up my Etsy.com shop this week! I've not had a single sale through etsy but I am selling through my Arthur & Esther facebook page! I can't wait to get my first etsy sale. I am really enjoying designing bags and more. I have had a couple of other business opportunities arise as well out of this and though it's not currently in place, I will talk about it later! I am excited to share, when the time is right ;) Hope everyone is gearing up for a great weekend!
